Two new Fords at Geneva

Ford is launching two production people-carriers at the Geneva Motor Show next week -- the new Galaxy and the S-MAX. Both will be available in Ireland from this summer.

The new Galaxy is slightly bigger than the model it replaces, with a wider track. The 2nd and 3rd row seating areas can be transformed into a completely flat load space.

The engine line up includes a 1.8 litre Duratorq TDCi 100 PS, 1.8 litre Duratorq TDCi 125 PS, 2.0 litre Duratorq TDCi 130 PS with DPF, 2.0 litre Duratorq TDCi 140 PS, and 2.0 litre Duratec TDCi 145 PS.

The all-new S-MAX offers 5+2 seating and distinctive styling, and its engines include a 220PS Duratec 5-cylinder turbo engine from the Focus ST as well as a similar line-up as in the Galaxy.
