Tens of thousands of diesel-hybrid cars could be rolled out onto European roads within five years if proposals by PSA Peugeot-Citroen come to fruition.
PSA Group has revealed two experimental cars for the system, a Peugeot 307 and a Citroen C4, both models in a price-sensitive segment.
These cars use a 1.6-litre diesel with the batteries, electric motor and regenrative braking systems under test.
