Opel is introducing significantly more efficient engines in its Corsa early next year.
With an overall drop in fuel consumption of more than 13 percent across the model's engine range, some of the engines also get more power.
A 95hp 1.3 diesel offers 3.7 L/100km, equivalent to 76.3mpg. There will also be a 75hp variant of the same engine, both of which will be in the A CO2 Tax Band here.
The 1.0 petrol engine has been improved to give 5hp more while emissions drop to 117g/km. The 1.2 petrol will now offer 85hp, 5hp more than before.
There are also revised set-ups on the steering and suspension to improve ride and handling.
