Details of the eighth-generation BMW 3 Series with Neue Klasse design and technologies have been announced by BMW Ireland, writes Brian Byrne. They include fully electric models, the BMW i3 40 xDrive and BMW i3 50 xDrive, available from launch, with a BMW i3 M60 xDrive M Performance model to follow.
The i3 50 xDrive offers up to 912 km range (WLTP) and 400 kW DC rapid charging. Petrol options include the BMW 320 and the six-cylinder BMW M350 xDrive. All models share a consistent design, equipped with BMW Panoramic iDrive, BMW Operating System X, and advanced driver assistance technology.
Prices in Ireland start at €71,935 for the BMW 320 and €60,285 for the BMW i3 40 xDrive. Customer deliveries for the i3 begin in autumn 2026, with petrol models arriving in January 2027.
