Ford's 2.2-litre, 155hp Duratorq TDCi engine in the Ford Mondeo is now to Euro 4 standard, which comes into effect on January 1.
In addition the new engine now utilises an electrically-actuated variable turbocharger which provides a significant broadening of the useable power band, starting from just 1,250rpm.
New to the Mondeo range is Ford's 90hp TDCi Stage IV common rail engine. The car has also been given subtle exterior design changes to freshen it up for the 2006 model year.
