The car was revealed to a meeting of journalists last night in advance of the first main press day of the Frankfurt Show.
According to Toyota Ireland's Ian Corbett, the new car will officially begin its Irish launch rollout from 21 November.
Yaris in its first generation represents a quarter of all Toyota sales in Europe and is its best-selling European model.
