It's official: the Dodge brand is coming back to Ireland in the middle of next year.
The first car to carry the famous American brand, currently the fifth biggest in its home country, will be the new Caliber which was shown in concept form at recent motor shows. It will be followed in the early part of 2007 by a new SUV on the same platform, the Nitro.
Dodge sold more than 1.4 million vehicles worldwide in 2004, representing half of all sales in the Chrysler Group.
The vehicles will include diesel variants to suit the European market.
