Mitsubishi may introduce a car to Europe under its current smallest, the Colt.
The 'i' urban car which went on sale in Japan in January could be modified for some external markets, especially those who drive on the left.
In that case, it is suggested that the 660cc turbo engine used in Japan would be replaced by a 1-litre, also turbocharged.
Mitsubishi is looking at the possibility of building versions for Europe at its underutilised NedCar facility in the Netherlands, which would mean they could compete pricewise.
