Irish car sales in the first two months of the year increased by 9 percent on the same period in 2005 to 68,617.
According to statistics from the Society of the Irish Motor Industry (SIMI) there was a 4% increase in sales in February 2006 (25,636) compared to February 2005 (24,616).
