'Ignorance' of new penalty point offences

What it calls a 'widespread level of ignorance' of the new offences that will incur penalty points from April 1, has been highlighted by the RAC School of Motoring in Rathmines.

Listed among the 31 new offences are not bringing the car to a complete stop at a stop sign; crossing a continuous white line; ailure to obey requirements at junctions; failure to leave appropriate distance between you and the vehicle in front; riving on the hard shoulder.

All regular offences on Irish roads.
