Ford Ireland has issued a price change notice for its Focus FFV flexi-fuel car.
The FFV has been granted a rebate of 50 percent of the Vehicle Registration Tax component of the price, but the company has been told by the Vehicle Registration Office that 21 percent VAT must be paid on the entire VRT amount rather than on the reduced VRT.
This means that instead of the €19,585 and €24,055 net prices for the 5-door and Wagon FFVs, the cars will cost €20,368 and €21,349 respectively.
