Lexus has introduced its latest hybrid car, the GS 450h, which is the world’s first rear-wheel drive full hybrid power saloon.
The car's power system combines a 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine and a high-output electric motor and Lexus says it gives performance that matches conventional V8 petrol competitors, but with significantly lower fuel consumption.
A 35.8mpg consumption on the combined cycle is achievable from the hybrid system which has a maximum output 345 hp and allows a 0-100 km/h acceleration of 5.9 seconds.
