The healthy growth in the SUV market in Europe has been underscored by Fiat asking Suzuki to provide more of its Fiat-brand Sedici variants of the Japanese brand's SX4.
Fiat has had unexpected demand for its version, to the point that there's now a four-month waiting list and the company has got more orders than the 20,000 it expected for all of 2006.
The Sedici and the SX4 are built on a stretched version of the platform that underpins the Swift.
