The full Irish sat-nav CD is now available for a number of systems in use in this country, from Navteq, which has been working on a digital map of Ireland for several years.
The newly updated map CDs are for Siemens VDO Automotive navigation systems, compatible with VDO Dayton and Philips Carin systems.
The new digital map can be used in VDO Dayton 4,000, 5,000 and 6,000 series aftermarket systems and also with CD based (not DVD) navigation systems in the following car models:
• BMW - 5 series, 3 series, 7 series
• Citroën - C5 with colour monitor
• Land Rover - Range Rover
• Mini - All models with colour monitor
• Nissan - Primastar
• Opel - Vectra, Omega
• Peugeot - 607 with colour monitor
• Renault - all models with colour monitor
• Rover 75 with colour monitor
