BMW's 1-Series, currently available only as a 5-door hatch, will be joined by a 2-door coupe early next year.
A wagon version is also on the schedule, for autumn of next year, and a soft-top convertible will be released in 2008, based closely on the CS1 concept car shown in Geneva in 2002.
Meanwhile, the next generation 3-Series convertible, planned for early 2007, will have a retractable hard-top, finally following the trend of most mass market carmakers for their models in this size.
