Toyota Ireland has this month reached the landmark total registrations figure of 500,000 vehicles in this country.
The figure includes passenger and commercial vehicles sales since the company was acquired by the Mahony family in 1973.
In that foundation year 149 cars were sold, representing 0.2 percent of the market at the time. Today the company has just under 14 percent of the market here.
Dr Tim Mahony, Chairman of Toyota Ireland says the company is eagerly looking forward to 'building on this impressive sales record' in the years to come.
