Toyota engineers in America have managed to eliminate noise and vibration by 90 percent by installing so-called 'quiet tunnels' at their manufacturing plant in Kentucky.
The plant builds mainly Camrys, and every unit produced is run through the tunnels so that engineers can listen for improper noises and rattles.
The system allows the engineers to hear things that normally would be muffled by tyre and engine noise.
