Coughlan, 26, joined the professional ranks of the Ladies European Tour in December 2006.
A native of Little Island in Cork, she won the Irish Close Amateur Championship in 1999, while she was still a teenager, and went on to capture the Irish Stroke Play Championship in 2003. She was runner-up in the British Amateur Championship in 2005, and won the Vagliano Trophy that same year.
She has also represented Great Britain & Ireland in the Curtis Cup twice, in 2004 and 2006, playing an integral role both times. BB.
