In a report on the European car market up to the end of April, the service also reports that Volkswagen remains the top selling brand, followed by Renault and with Opel and Ford sharing third place.

Other brands that recorded a rise in sales last month (April) were Fiat, Toyota, Audi, Skoda, Honda, Suzuki, Volvo and Kia, largely due to new model variants entering the market.

Car sales across Europe continue to decline, with year to date figures showing a drop of 0.09 percent in a 5.4 million units market. BB
