New efficiency from Toyota

Toyota has developed a new generation valve managment mechanism which can improve fuel efficiency up to 10 percent and boosts power output by a similar amount.

Branded as Valvematic, the system also reduces CO2 emissions and will be introduced soon on a new vehicle model featuring a 2.0 litre engine.

Toyota plans to completely revamp its petrol engine and transmission lineup by 2010 as part of its effort to make its overall cars lineup more efficient and environmentally friendly. BB.
