Children sailing on Irish Ferries services to/from France this Summer are being invited to enter the Normandy Children's Art Competition during the course of their voyage.
In its third year, the competition is organised by the ship’s Chief Purser and is open to young passengers in three age groups - 7 years and under, 8-11 years and 12-16 years.
Participants are provided with drawing paper and crayons though they may use their own materials and submit work in any medium.
Winners are chosen daily and their drawings placed on display on board the vessel. From these, a weekly winner is then chosen and presented with an artist's portfolio filled with paints and pencils.
At the end of the season, an overall winner for the year is selected and invited to the company’s office in Dublin where a prize, which this year will be a mini cruise to France, will be presented. TW.
