Volvo crash centre hits 2,000

The Volvo Cars Safety Centre has performed over two thousand crash tests since its inauguration in the year 2000. Ten cars per week are now tested in the crash test laboratory -- one of the leading facilities of its type in the world.

The Volvo Cars Safety Centre is designed to reproduce accidents of many different kinds, from frontal to side collisions, rollover accidents or collisions with animals.

In the course of development, a new Volvo model undergoes no less than 100 to 120 crash tests. BB.
