Ford is introducing a new double clutch automated transmission in the Focus from the beginning of next year.
The gearbox will initially be available with a 136hp 2.0 turbodiesel and will feature six speeds.
It will be marketed under the PowerShift name.
DCT gearboxes are less expensive to produce than conventional automatic transmissions and offer fuel economy often superior to a standard manual system. BB
