This is an American piece, but I can relate to it in terms of navigating on this side of the Atlantic too. I also use online and sat-nav resources to find the way somewhere.
That said, I still like to have a local map in the car if I'm in a strange place. Something to spread out on the car's bonnet if I'm lost is very reassuring. BB.
