Toyota has introduced a minor upgrade to the Land Cruiser which includes more comfort features, a ‘darkened’ look for headlights, grill and alloys, and steering mounted audio controls.
The vehicle also incorporates recent engine upgrades which offer more power with less fuel consumption.
Dual zone climate control is now standard on all passenger models and there is also an new option of rear air-conditioning on eight seater models. A 6CD front load changer with cassette and a 9 speaker system has been made standard across all model grades. A new leather-trimmed steering wheel complements the optional leather trim on passenger models.
The 3.0 litre D-4D diesel engine is fully compliant with Euro 4 emissions standards and now offers up to 173 hp as well as a wider torque band.
Fuel consumption for the 3-door version equipped with automatic transmission falls to 8.9 litres/100 km, an improvement of 13.6 percent and CO2 emissions have been reduced by more than 12 percent.
The Toyota Land Cruiser has 40 percent of the 4 x 4 market in Ireland. BB
