A 1.4 petrol will be added in September, and in early 2009 a pair of diesels are expected, of 1.4 and 1.9 capacity.
The initial specification levels will be the familiar R and S designations from SEAT. All cars will come on the Irish market with features such as Bluetooth, MP3 capability, six airbags and electric front windows as standard.
No prices have been made available yet for the cars, which compete with the Peugeot 207, Renault Clio, Opel Corsa, Mazda2 and Fiat Punto.
