The 308 SW is available with a 1.6 120bhp petrol engine with 5-speed manual. The diesel is a 1.6 HDi 110bhp 6-speed manual fitted with a diesel particulate filter system (FAP). Michelin Energy Saver tyres which reduce the rolling resistance of the vehicle by 20 percent are fitted to the HDi 110 version. This also improves the vehicle’s overall environmental efficiency. It allows a reduction of 5 g/km of CO2.
Peugeot in Ireland expects to sell 400 units of the 308 SW in 2009.
