The ECOnetic version will use a 1.6 Ford Duratorq TDCi engine and the target 99 g/km limit is being achieved through engine calibration, lowered suspension and aerodynamic improvements and a no-maintenance, coated Diesel Particulate Filter.
The new Fiesta stands on virtually the same footprint as the current car, but is 40 kg lighter.
The Fiesta nameplate has been used in Europe for 32 years.
