Berry is top Bond girl

In the week that sees the new James Bond adventure, ‘Quantum of Solace’, open in Irish cinemas, a new Ford survey shows Halle Berry to be the favourite Bond girl among Irish audiences. The star of 'Die Another Day' finished ahead of Eva Green, from the film Casino Royale.

The online survey was conducted in Ireland to coincide with the appearance of the new Ford Ka in the latest Bond movie. The film's leading lady, Olga Kurylenko, plays Camille, a woman with her own personal mission and who quickly becomes an unlikely ally for Bond.

Some 27 percent of respondents chose Berry as their favourite Bond girl, compared to 12 percent for Eva Green and 9 percent for screen legend Ursula Andress from the film 'Dr No'. While Berry was the clear favourite among males, females opted in large numbers for Eva Green from 'Casino Royale'.

The new Ford Ka’s cameo continues Ford of Europe's relationship with the James Bond films, following the debut appearance of the latest Ford Mondeo, in the 2006 blockbuster, ‘Casino Royale’.

The new Ka is available at Ford dealerships from next month.
