Plans for a large scale electrification of Ireland's car parc have been welcomed by the Electric Transport Lobby Group (ETLG).
Founding member of the group Robert Nolan, Managing Director of Green Machines, said the removal of VRT on Electric vehicles and the recent tax write off under the Accelerated Capital Allowance Scheme had already gone some way to showing this Governments dedication to the Growth of the Electric Transport industry.
He added that the latest announcement can pave the way for a comprehensive rollout of measures which will lead to increased competition, greater choice for the consumer and build confidence in the electric Transport Market.
