The first short-list for the Semperit Irish Car of the Year 2009 has just been revealed, following an initial vote by the members of the Irish Motoring Writers Association.
They are, in alphabetical order, Citroen Berlingo Multi-Space, Citroen C5, Ford Fiesta, Ford Kuga, Jaguar XF, Mazda6, Renault Grand Modus, Seat Ibiza, Volkswagen Passat CC, and Volvo XC60.
From these, the overall winner, plus winners in the following categories will be chosen, and announced on November 21.
– Semperit Irish Small Car of the Year 2009
– Semperit Irish Family Car of the Year 2009
– Semperit Irish SUV/Crossover of the Year 2009
– Semperit Irish Luxury/Sport Car of the Year 2009
– Semperit Irish MPV Car of the Year 2009
The Irish Car of the Year Award (ICOY) is organised by the Irish Motoring Writers Association (IMWA) on an annual basis.
