Renault Ireland has launched the new generation Megane here at a starting price of €20,400.
It comes in Megane Hatch and Megane Coupe formats which are quite distinctively different and aimed at different buying segments.
The cars are the latest from Renault to come with the three-year warranty begun with the current Laguna, under Renault's programme to establish a high quality and reliability ethos.
ESP Dynamic Driving Control with ASR comes as standard on the Monaco and as an optional extra on Royale. Both variants will come to market with ABS and Electronic Brake Assist (EBA) and automatic hazard lights, which activate under heavy braking.
Megane Coupe customers will be able to choose from three trim levels -- Coupe, Monaco and Luxe.
Both variants come with a choice of three diesel engines which offer CO2 bands from 118g/km-134g/km.
