Zero emissions M-B concept

Mercedes-Benz will be showing a zero-emissions concept using the double floor 'sandwich' underpinnings devised originally for the A/B-Class platform, at next month's North American Auto Show in Detroit.



Using a modular system, the BlueZERO concept offers three variants: a pure electric vehicle, a fuel cell powered electric, and an electric vehicle with an internal combustion engine onboard for battery charging.

Design and sizing of the three variants are identical, and the cars are 4.22 metres in length. Inside are five full-size seats, a payload of around 450kg and a luggage compartment capacity of over 500 litres

All three BlueZERO models are driven by the front wheels.
