The offer ranges from €1,250 extra trade-in value against a new Corsa 5-door to €2,250 extra trade-in value against a new Zafira 7-seater MPV.
Opel Ireland says that potential customers who have previously been given a trade-in offer on their current vehicle, but have not proceeded with a transaction, will be offered the 'booster' payment.
"For other potential customers, the dealer will assess the value of the vehicle based on age, mileage, condition and supply and demand, as is the normal criteria," a spokesperson says. "The dealer then has a definitive allowance by carline which he is able to boost this valuation by."
The company says Opel Dealers of Ireland are '100% committed to this programme and fair valuations'.
