The 2010 British International Motor Show has been cancelled.
Following on from the cancellation of the Birmingham annual Commercial Vehicle Show for this year, it's an indication of just how badly the motor industry in these islands is doing.
At a local level, the situation is reflected in the £306m in tax that the Irish Government has lost in the first two months of this year from lost motor sales.
