New Clio will be here in autumn

Renault has revealed further details of a heavily revised Clio which the company calls the 'next generation' of a model it first introduced back in 1990.

The car won't arrive here until the autumn. though launch is imminent in other European markets.

The changes are mainly to the front and rear, providing the car with a stronger nose and a back end that looks wider thanks to changes to the lights clusters.

The New Clio is longer than the current car, though this seems more as a longer front overhang.

The familiar range of engines include the 1.2 petrol and 1.5 diesels available in Ireland in the current car. But changes made to them have enabled a further extended servicing interval to 30,000kms in some variants.

A GT and estate will launch at the same time.
