Although Opel is reported to have only enough cash for four more months operation, the company is still planning to launch a high performance version of its Insignia medium/large car in May.
The OPC version of the company's flagship car will be powered by a 2.8 V6 Turbo engine delivering 325hp and will be able to reach 100 km/h in six seconds. It will debut at the Barcelona Motor Show.
Opel/Vauxhall sales across Europe dropped almost 29 percent in the first two months of this year, a bigger cut than the pan-European car market average.
