Smoke alarm for Peugeots

Peugeot in Ireland has announced details of its new innovative smoke alarm, to be fitted as standard to all new Peugeot passenger cars from mid-year. A world premier, the sensitive smoke alarm system detects smoke fumes instantaneously and will immediately activate a powerful internal sprinkler system to extinguish any fire present.

Mark Hayes, Marketing Manager of Peugeot in Ireland noted that the launch of Peugeot's new sprinkler system coincides with the fifth anniversary of the smoking ban in Ireland. "We feel that in the future, many of our customers will thank us for this innovative piece of equipment, which will encourage many to give up smoking," he said.
