Opel says it will have the same design cues as the Insignia, inside and out of the car.
A FlexRide system will offer drivers three unique damper settings – standard, sport and tour.
Power will come from an all-new, 140hp turbocharged 1.4-litre petrol unit, along with three further petrol engines, which range from 100-180hp, and four diesel engines ranging from 95-160hp.
It will launch in Ireland on early 2010.
Opel is in trouble, though. GM wants to hive the brand off, and the company needs German government capital. It is currently in a sell-off situation with Fiat-Chrysler bidding against Austrian Magma in association with a tottering Russian carmaker.
