Peugeot has revealed details of another addition to its people carrier range with the 5008, a compact MPV with up to seven seats targeted at the market segment currently dominated by Opel's Zafira and Renault's Scenic.
It sits with the 308 SW and the recently launched 3008 from the brand, and has a length of 4.53m and a height of 1.64m.
It is stylish and elegant and aerodynamically efficient.
The middle row comprises three seats of equal width, which can be adjusted lengthwise and feature reclining seatbacks. They can also be folded individually into the passenger compartment floor.
In the third row the two full size seats fold individually into the rear floor.
Two petrol engines will be available at the time of launch, both 1.6 with 120hp or 156hp outputs. Diesel options will be 1.6 and 2.0 in power ranges from 110hp to 163hp.
The 5008 will be officially revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show and goes on sale in a number of European markets in the autumn.
