The Ion is developed in cooperation with Mitsubishi and will be shown at next week's Frankfurt Motor Show.
It has a claimed 130km operating range, thanks to the use of lithium-ion batteries. Power output is 64 hp and it can be fast-recharged to 80 percent of capacity within 30 minutes.
The car has a length of 3.48m and a turning circle of 4.50m.
