The cars are expected to launch in Europe towards the end of next year. The timescale coincides with Mitsubishi's plans to roll out its own car in LHD markets.
PSA Peugeot Citroen are also planning launches of the Peugeot 3008 HYbrid4 and Citroën DS5 HYbrid4 in 2011, and a Plug-In HYbrid4 diesel in 2012.
PSA and Mitsubishi already cooperate in the production of SUVs based on the Japanese company's Outlander.
