The Irish car market will recover to around 135,000 units in 2014, according to Mercedes-Benz Ireland's Ciaran Allen.
But he says next year will remain 'another very tough' market situation.
He said their high end business has been put on hold for the moment but that the company is concentrating on providing value in its volume models, especially C-Class, and E-Class.
He announced further reductions in the price of the C-Class models of 9 percent, making the total cut in prices on the model of €12,000 since 2009.
He also said the company will be extending its Star Select used car programme during 2010.
