Kia hits European 500,000

Kia has hit the half-million mark in production of cars at its Slovakia plant, which only began production two years ago.

The milestone car was a white cee'd SW, which was donated to a community support organisation in the nearby town of Martin.

The car will be used for transfers of surgery teams and equipment related to organ transplants in the country.

A fifth of all cars produced at the plant are exported to Russia.
