Another E-REV from Opel

Opel will be showcasing a plug-in concept at Geneva to show how the company's extended range technology can be used in a range of vehicles sizes, and not only the compact Ampera which will be the company's first electric extended range car.

The Flextreme GT/E concept is an exceptionally streamlined car with a drag coefficient of just 0.22, an aerodynamic performance that will make the most of the E-REV system.

The concept is claimed to have a range of 300 miles, average fuel consumption of 175mpg (though such things are hard to define at the moment), and CO2 emissions of a mere 40g/km.

Since the power to the wheels is at all times from an electric motor, there's enough torque and power to offer a sub-9 seconds 0-100km/h.
