Volkswagen has revealed specifications of the GTI version of its current Polo, which will go on sale during the summer.
The car will be powered by a 1.4 TSI engine with 180hp and a 6.9 seconds 0-100km/h capability.
Even with that performance, the car will manage to slip into the B rating for CO2 tax.
A 7-speed DSG gearbox will be part of the package. New springs and dampers will take care of dealing with the extra power and performance, helped by a cross-axle traction control system.
The car will ride 15mm lower than the standard car.
