In the Kuga the new engine offers a 20 percent increase in peak power, with emissions of 159g/km in the AWD version.
Use of the new Powershift automatic gearbox also lowers emissions to 179g/km for both the existing 140hp and the new 163hp diesels.
The Mondeo will also now be offered with the new 2.0 EcoBoost direct injection petrol engine, with 203hp, which has debuted in the new versions of the S-MAX and Galaxy.
