A pet's life

Life is on the way up for pets who enjoy a Summer holiday overseas!

Irish Ferries, participants in the Government’s Pet Passport Scheme, tell us that a licensing arrangement has been put in place that will allow pets to travel home from their holidays in France via the ports of Roscoff and Cherbourg, and not just through Cherbourg as was the case previously.

Of interest also is the fact the Irish Ferries has set aside a dedicated area on board their cruise ferry Oscar Wilde where owners can walk their pets by arrangement. Poop scoop dispensers and drinking water are also provided in the kennel area.

Reservations and further information can be had on-line or by calling Irish Ferries at 0818 300 400.
