Revised CR-V is more powerful, cleaner

Honda's 2010 CR-V goes on sale in Ireland tomorrow with an improved diesel engine and automatic transmission available with the diesel for the first time.

The 150hp engine is cleaner and more powerful, and now complies with Euro-5 emissions standards. The manual version has CO2 emissions of 171g/km, while the automatic is substantially higher at 195g/km.

Honda says it is a much more relaxing car to drive thanks to improved sound-deadening materials around and in the cabin. There are also new fabrics, and a new audio console.

Exterior changes include revised front and rear bumpers and a new grille.

Prices are being announced tomorrow.
