Jaguar fans will be watching this weekend's Le Mans 24 Hours Endurance Race with particular interest, as the brand is celebrating its 75th anniversary with a return to the track where it earned seven wins between 1951 and 1990.
The competing car is the XKR GT2 developed by Jaguar and the RSR racing team. It is powered by a tuned version of the road-going XKR's 5.0 V8, with more than 500hp.
Drivers Marc Goossens, Ryan Dalziel and Paul Gentilozzi will be piloting the car during the punishing 24-hour race, having gained initial experience with the vehicle during the American Le Mans Series events earlier during 2010.
